ASA League - About Us

What is the Alabama Soccer Academy Developmental League?

The purpose of the league is to offer high-level soccer training for girls in Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas. There are currently no playing opportunities in the area for middle and high school aged girls outside of their high school season in the spring. Players wishing to receive high-level training must travel, in most cases to Birmingham, and we would like to make it more convenient for players in our area to develop their skills.

The program will operate under the direction of University of Alabama Head Soccer Coach Todd Bramble and the UA soccer coaching staff. The program will be a comprehensive year-round training environment designed to accelerate the technical and tactical development of players through training and games. Additional seminars will also be offered throughout the year designed to accelerate the player’s athletic and personal development. Examples of seminars are; Speed, Strength & Agility, Nutrition, Sports Psychology & Mental Conditioning.
